March 16 Update: Sign-ups for crisis committees will close at the end of regular registration (March 18th) to let crisis staff focus on completing back-room preparation. Note: delegates may still participate in either G.A. or Specialized committees if they sign up during the Late period (after March 18).
How to Register
How to Register
- Fill out the Google Form below with the appropriate delegation size and contact information
- In 1-2 business days, you will receive an email from us with an invoice informing you of the payments you owe (the sum of your delegation and delegate fees)
- To make your payment, mail in a check to Box 90847, Durham, NC 27708. Checks should be made out to Duke University and mailed with attention to Student Organization & Programming. It is IMPORTANT to write Duke International Relations Association in the memo line of said check.
- Email us to let us know that your check is on its way!
- Once we have received and processed your payment, your position at DUMUNC 39 will be confirmed. You will be notified of any further developments with the conference, namely committee assignments, when that information becomes available.
Registration Policy
Your position at DUMUNC 39 will not be finalized until we have received and processed your payment. As a result, you will not receive committee assignments until we have received and processed your payment. Please note: due to delayed processing times in Duke Finance, we are not enforcing this rigorously- we only expect your delegation to have gotten the process rolling.
Early, regular, and late registration fees are based on the time that you have completed our registration form, not when we receive your payment.
Independent Delegations
DUMUNC 39 welcomes independent delegations- when registering, please indicate that you are competing independently by appending (Independent) to your school name. Please note, DUMUNC still requires at least 1 adult guardian to be present with each delegation. For single/two-person independent delegations, we are willing to offer reduced advisor/delegation fees upon request.
Transfer Policy and Rolling Registration
You are free to switch students between different slots after registration without incurring an additional cost. If you wish to register your students/advisors in phases as they express interest, we will only require 1 delegation fee for your entire team (based on the earliest submission). Delegate/advisor fees are assessed on the time each individual one was submitted.
Your position at DUMUNC 39 will not be finalized until we have received and processed your payment. Delegate/Advisor Fees: There is no cost penalty to dropping individual delegates or advisors until March 18th. After that, we will allow for a 25% refund on delegate/advisor drops between March 18th and April 1st. Delegate/advisor fees are not refundable after April 1st. Please remember that there is no charge for switching slots between students/advisors at any time.
Extraordinary Circumstances: DUMUNC 39 is operating under the assumption that our conference will be held as normal. However, recent circumstances such as COVID-19 have reminded us that we must vigilantly monitor the health of our university and the surrounding community. In the highly unlikely event that we need to cancel the entire conference to protect the safety of our staff and delegates, all delegations will be granted full refunds.
